> ## Agent Instructions
> Use https://docs.fastino.ai/llms.txt to discover and navigate pages. Use https://docs.fastino.ai/llms-full.txt when you need the complete documentation corpus. Use https://docs.fastino.ai/openapi.json as the source of truth for customer-facing routes. For GLiDE decision inference, call POST https://api.fastino.ai/v1/systemone with model fastino/GLiDE. Do not infer undocumented routes. Read API keys from FASTINO_API_KEY and never embed credentials in code, logs, or reports.

# Submit an asynchronous GLiNER-2 job

> Submit very large GLiNER-2 inputs for asynchronous processing when the input exceeds one million tokens or may outlast the synchronous request timeout.

`POST /v1/gliner-2/async`

Submit very large GLiNER-2 inputs for asynchronous processing. Use this endpoint when the
input exceeds one million tokens or may outlast the synchronous request timeout.

The OpenAPI panel on this page is the source of truth for every request field and `202`
response field. The request uses the same native GLiNER schema as
[`POST /v1/gliner-2`](/api-reference/inference/gliner-2).

## Request example

```bash theme={null}
curl -X POST "https://api.fastino.ai/v1/gliner-2/async" \
  -H "X-API-Key: $FASTINO_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "text": "A very large document to process asynchronously...",
    "schema": {
      "entities": [
        {"name": "person", "description": "named individual"},
        {"name": "organization", "description": "business or institution"}
      ]
    },
    "threshold": 0.5,
    "include_confidence": true,
    "include_spans": true
  }'
```

`text` may also be an array of strings. Omit the deprecated `task` field; the unified
schema identifies extraction, classification, structures, or relations.

## Accepted response

The endpoint returns HTTP `202` immediately. This illustrative payload shortens
`message`; the service supplies a concrete polling path containing the returned job ID.

```json theme={null}
{
  "job_id": "3f08a17f-777a-4aa6-8ec5-879df37775a8",
  "status": "accepted",
  "estimated_tokens": 1284307,
  "message": "Job queued. ..."
}
```

Store `job_id`, then poll
[`GET /v1/gliner-2/jobs/{job_id}`](/api-reference/inference/gliner-2-job-status)
with the same API key. Jobs are scoped to the authenticated user.
